Compatible devices

Before ordering an IPTV subscription, check that your device can install a compatible app. In the vast majority of Canadian homes, the hardware already sitting under the TV is enough.

The simple rule

A device works if it meets three conditions: it connects to the internet, it can install an app (or open a playlist), and it has a video output. If one of the three is missing, a small Android box or a Fire TV Stick on an HDMI port solves it for a modest cost.

Smart televisions

Samsung Smart TV — Recent models with access to the Samsung app store. On older sets, use an external box instead.
LG Smart TV — webOS models with access to the LG Content Store. The same note applies to older generations.
Android TV / Google TV — Sony, Philips, TCL, Hisense and other Android TV sets — the easiest setup of all.

Boxes and HDMI sticks

Android box — Any recent Android box (Android 9 or newer recommended) with access to an app store.
Fire TV Stick — Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Stick 4K and Fire TV Cube. The cheapest way to modernise an older television.
Formuler — Recent Formuler boxes, using their built-in player app.
MAG — Portal-compatible MAG boxes. Configuration happens in the box's network settings.

Mobile and computers

iPhone and iPad — Through a compatible app available on the Canadian App Store.
Android phones and tablets — Through the Play Store, or by installing an app file we provide.
Windows — On Windows 10 and 11 PCs, using a compatible player.
Mac — On macOS, using a compatible player.

What else you need

A stable internet connection. For high definition, a wired connection or solid 5 GHz Wi-Fi gives the most consistent result.
Enough storage on the device to install the app (a few dozen megabytes).

We do not guarantee a device we have not been able to verify. If you are unsure about your model, message us before ordering: we check together and, if it is not compatible, we say so plainly.
